Valve’s CTO, Tuomas Artman, has published an iPhone application to be sold in Apple’s AppStore. Tuomas’ Web Feeds application is a web feed reader through which the user can follow the news, blogs and other web publications on their iPhone.

I’ve always found it odd that Apple didnt’ include a decent Feed reader app on the iPhone to begin with, so I decided to create my own. I really enjoyed getting to know Objective-C and using all of Apple’s development tools

AppStore is Apple’s web store for iPhone applications. The store holds approx 1700 applications at the moment and already the store has sold applications worth of 30 million US dollars (20,4 million euros).

The Web Feeds app is available on the iTunes AppStore under the “News” category for 2,99 euros. Try it out!

P-J Hyytiäinen is joining Valve in the beginning of September as Creative Director of the Online Marketing team. P-J is joining Valve from Ego, where he has made a long career as Creative Director.

Valve was shortlisted in the 2008 Cresta Awards with Fressis (Integrated Campaigns), Drunk you’re a fool (Integrated Campaigns) and UPM Forest Life (Online Interactive Media).

A total of 285 finalists were chosen to the final which represents six percent of the total number of entries.
